World No Tobacco Day is celebrated on the 31st of May every
year to highlight the health risks associated with tobacco use and advocate for
effective policies to reduce tobacco consumption. The theme for this year’s
World No Tobacco day is “Raise tobacco tax, lower death and disease”.
